Join us on an unforgettable full-day adventure around the stunning island of Roatan, combining snorkeling, swimming, and fishing, with stops at Big Bight, Pigeon Caye and Port Royal.
On our way out to the quiet east end of Roatan, we’ll mostly cruise through the calm waters inside of the reef.
Our first stop at Big Bight offers pristine shallow reefs perfect for snorkeling. The water is crystal clear and on the sandy areas you’ll encounter lots of colorful starfish.
As we make our way to Pigeon Caye you’ll get a good view of Roatan’s unspoiled east end showcasing the beauty of the Caribbean!
R.A.D. BOAT: “BLONDIE”
‘Blondie’ is a 2024 36 foot custom built cruiser with a comfortable cushioned front seating area, private bathroom with a fresh water rinse station, a middle scuba area with storage for 29 tanks, and a rear fishing deck with 10 rod holders. Our boat is powered by two new 2024 300HP Yamaha engines, and features a Garmin GPSMap 1223, 9 speaker marine stereo system and extra on board storage.
At Pigeon Caye there’s a group of very friendly nurse sharks that will allow you to swim up close to them as well as stingrays and more starfish.
Note from Divemaster: Safety for our passengers and our environment is a top priority. Although rare, there may be instances due to natural effect that may prevent us from being able to directly interact ‘up close‘ with any wild species.
Continuing our adventure we’ll start heading to Port Royal where we’ll make a stop to enjoy lunch/snacks/refreshments on the boat. The swimming spots are a stand-out on this adventure, and we want to bring you that experience. Snorkeling? Of course!
Sun bathing and relaxation? You didn’t have to ask, this trip is all about you and your crew!
Shallow or Deep Water Fishing!
Then there’s the opportunity to try your hand at fishing, guided by our experienced boat captain Hazel. You can be fishing in 1,000 feet of water less than 5 miles from shore around most of the Bay Islands.
There are many big game species and Blue Marlin tops the list, but they’re not alone. Sailfish, Wahoo, and several species of Tuna call these waters home all year round. Our captain is local and he knows all of the ‘good’ spots!
As the trip begins to settle, we make our way back along the south side of the island getting in the best of the rest of the day.
