Dive & Snorkel Utila
Embark on an unforgettable dive and snorkeling experience to the quaint and picturesque island of Utila.
Utila is the smallest of the Bay Islands and is known for its spectacular wall dives and lush shallow reefs that are suitable for both diving and snorkeling.
On our way to the island we are always on the lookout for dolphins and the elusive whale shark, which are spotted regularly. Whether you’re snorkeling or diving, Utila’s reef has a multitude of sites to explore.
Our first stop will be on the north side where we’ll pick one of our favorite sites, Duppy Waters, The Pinnacle or The Maze. These sites feature steep drop-offs and maze-like areas with canyons and beautiful overhangs. The top part of the reef is covered in very healthy soft coral and many colorful reef fish inhabit these shallower areas.
R.A.D. BOAT: “BLONDIE”
‘Blondie’ is a 2024 36 foot custom built cruiser with a comfortable cushioned front seating area, private bathroom with a fresh water rinse station, a middle scuba area with storage for 29 tanks, and a rear fishing deck with 10 rod holders. Our boat is powered by two new 2024 300HP Yamaha engines, and features a Garmin GPSMap 1223, 9 speaker marine stereo system and extra on board storage.
Our second stop is at the western point of the island where the reef is shaped more as a plateau that allows us to explore all the different levels while slowly drifting along with the mild current.
After your underwater exploration, relax and recharge with delicious lunch served on our boat, whilst enjoying the stunning scenery of the Utila Cayes.
To finish up this unforgettable morning we’ll dock the boat at Utila town and you’ll have some time to explore the cute town with its super relaxed and friendly locals. On the way back we’ll be on the lookout for whale sharks again, it’s never guaranteed, but definitely a huge bonus!
